The people emailing Markus wanted to know&#8211;if Postgres doesn\u2019t work well for Uber, is it safe to use for anyone?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Markus wrote a detailed <a href=\"http:\/\/use-the-index-luke.com\/blog\/2016-07-29\/on-ubers-choice-of-databases\">blog post<\/a> that was a response to Uber\u2019s discussion of Postgres, and in today\u2019s episode Markus explains why Postgres is perfectly fine for most applications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most developers are not experts in choosing between different databases.
